Terms of Service
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service (hereinafter "Terms") set forth the terms and conditions of use, and the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between NOWKOR (hereinafter "Company") and users regarding the Nowkor service (a platform that aggregates and provides date-based event information, hereinafter "Service").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- Company: The entity operating the Nowkor service, referred to as "Company" in these Terms.
- Service: The Nowkor online platform and related services provided by the Company.
- Member: A person who has registered as a member according to the procedures set by the Company and has obtained the right to use the Service through social login or email registration.
- Non-member: A person who uses the Service without registering as a member.
- User: All members and non-members who access the Service and use it in accordance with these Terms.
- Content: All information content provided in the Service, including text, images, event information, and data.
- Posts: All information posted or uploaded by users on the Service, including writings, photos, and comments.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of Terms)
The Company shall post these Terms in a place where users can easily check them, such as the initial screen of the Service or the settings menu.
The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that they do not violate relevant laws and regulations, such as the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
When the Company amends the Terms, it shall notify users of the effective date, amended content, and reason for amendment at least 7 days prior to the effective date (or 30 days prior in case of changes unfavorable to users) by posting on the Service's notice board or by notifying members via email.
If the Company notifies or announces the amended Terms as described above, clearly stating that failure to express objection within the notice period will be deemed as consent to the amendment, and if a member does not explicitly express objection, the member is deemed to have consented to the amended Terms. If a user does not agree to the amended Terms, they may discontinue using the Service and terminate the use agreement.
Article 4 (Conclusion of Use Agreement and Membership Registration)
A use agreement is concluded when a user agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, applies for membership registration according to the procedures set by the Company, and the Company accepts the application.
Membership registration is conducted through the following authentication methods provided by the Company:
- Social Login: Account integration with major platforms
- Email Registration: Entering email address and password (email verification required)
Users must provide the minimum personal information necessary for providing the Service (such as email and name).
The Company may refuse to accept an application or terminate the use agreement if any of the following applies:
- Using a name that is not real or using another person's name
- A child under 14 years of age applying for membership without the consent of a legal guardian
- Providing false information or omitting required information in the application
- Other cases where registration as a member is deemed inappropriate
Article 5 (Member Account Management)
Members are responsible for managing their accounts reliably and securely. In particular, members must not share their login information with others or allow it to be leaked. After using the Service, members must maintain account security by logging out.
Members are responsible for any damages resulting from the leakage of account information due to their negligence or unauthorized use by third parties, and the Company is not liable for such damages.
If a member becomes aware that their account has been used without authorization or that a security breach has occurred, they must immediately notify the Company and follow the Company's instructions.
Article 6 (Company's Obligations)
The Company shall comply with relevant laws and these Terms and make every effort to provide continuous and stable services. If a service disruption occurs or improvement is needed, the Company shall take prompt action.
If the Company deems that opinions or complaints submitted by users are justified, it shall faithfully handle them within a reasonable period and notify users of the handling process and results through various communication means such as email, SMS, and push notifications.
The Company shall comply with relevant laws such as the Personal Information Protection Act and shall establish and operate a Privacy Policy to safely handle users' personal information, collecting and using only the minimum necessary information.
Article 7 (Provision and Modification of Services)
The Company provides users with the following services:
- Event Information Provision: Event information collected from various sources and related additional services
- Search and Personalization Features: Search by various conditions, filtering, customized recommendations, etc.
- Member Services: Event saving, notifications, community, and other member-oriented services
- Other Additional Services: All related services additionally developed and provided by the Company
Article 8 (Service Usage Fees)
The Company may provide services through various revenue models such as advertising, subscriptions, and premium services. Basic services are provided free of charge, while some premium features may be provided for a fee.
When introducing paid services, the Company shall notify users in advance of the content, fees, and payment methods of such services and obtain necessary consent before providing them.
Article 9 (Advertisement Posting)
The Company may post advertisements on the Service screen, homepage, etc. for the operation of the Service, and users are deemed to have consented to the posting of advertisements displayed when using the Service.
If a user clicks on an advertisement posted in the Service provided by the Company or moves to an external site or conducts a transaction by participating in the advertiser's promotional activities, this is entirely a matter between the user and the advertiser.

Article 11 (Dispute Resolution)
The Company shall faithfully handle complaints or inquiries submitted by users. Users may inquire or file complaints through the customer service menu provided in the Service or through the contact information specified below.

Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms and matters related to the use of the Service shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
In the event of a dispute between the Company and users regarding the use of the Service, the court having jurisdiction under the law shall have jurisdiction.

Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
NOWKOR (hereinafter "Company") values the personal information of users and complies with relevant laws such as the Personal Information Protection Act. This Privacy Policy explains how users' personal information is collected, used, shared, stored, and destroyed when using the Nowkor service (hereinafter "Service") provided by the Company.
1. Items and Methods of Personal Information Collection
The Company collects the minimum personal information necessary to provide the Service.
Information Collected During Registration:
- Required Items: Email address, name or nickname
- Social Login: Unique account ID of the selected platform
- Email Registration: Encrypted password
※ Only the minimum information is collected according to the selected authentication method.
Information Automatically Collected During Service Use:
- Log Data: Service usage date and time, device information, IP address, cookies and session ID, etc.
- Session/Cookie Information: Login session maintenance, event save list, language settings, etc.
- Browser Storage: Scroll position, recent search terms, filter settings, etc.
Information Collected During Inquiries:
When users make service-related inquiries, the Company may collect information such as name, email address, contact information, and inquiry content for smooth communication.
※ The Company does not collect users' sensitive information (race, political views, health, biometric information, etc.) at all.
2. Purpose of Using Personal Information
- Service Provision and Operation: Member authentication, personalized services, event information provision, etc.
- Customer Support: Inquiry processing, essential notifications through in-service notifications
- Essential Service Notifications: Transaction-related, security-related, terms changes, etc. via email (sent regardless of marketing consent)
- Service Improvement and Development: Usage pattern analysis, new feature development, etc.

Marketing Information Provision (Optional Consent):
Marketing information is provided through the following methods only if users have separately consented.
- Email: Sending new events and promotional information
- Customized Advertising (Cookies): Providing ads based on interest events (if introduced in the future)
※ All services can be used normally even if you do not consent to receiving marketing information.
※ You can withdraw consent at any time in profile settings. - Legal Obligations and Security: Compliance with relevant laws, prevention of illegal use, etc.
※ The Company may operate various revenue models such as advertising, subscriptions, and premium services, and will follow lawful consent procedures when providing services using personal information.
3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
In principle, the Company does not provide users' personal information to third parties. However, exceptions may be made in the following cases:
- When users have consented in advance: Personal information is provided within the scope of consent
- When there is a legal basis: When investigation agencies request according to procedures set by law for investigation purposes
- When provided in a form that makes user identification impossible: Anonymized data for statistical compilation, academic research, etc.
※ Currently, personal information is not directly provided to external advertisers or analytics companies without separate consent.
4. Consignment of Personal Information Processing
The Company outsources personal information processing tasks to external parties as follows for service operation.
Consignment Tasks
- Cloud Services: Server hosting, database operation, CDN provision
- Social Login: Google, Kakao, Facebook, X(Twitter), Naver, LINE OAuth authentication
- AI Services: Translation, content analysis
- Data Collection: Proxy services for event information collection
Retention Period: During service usage period
International Transfer of Personal Information: Personal information may be transferred to some consignees (located in the United States and Japan).
※ If consignees and consignment tasks change, the Company will notify users through this Privacy Policy without delay.
5. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
- Member Account Information: Immediately destroyed upon membership withdrawal (may be retained for 30 days to prevent illegal use)
- Event Save Information: Immediately deleted upon membership withdrawal or when service purpose is achieved
- Customer Inquiry Information: Retained for 1 year after inquiry response completion
- Log Records: Retained for 3 months from collection date
For other information and periods separately determined by law, the period set by the law shall be followed.
6. Rights of Users and Legal Guardians and How to Exercise Them
Request for Access, Correction, and Deletion of Personal Information:
Users may request access to their personal information at any time and, if there are errors, may request correction, deletion, or suspension of processing.
Withdrawal of Consent and Membership Withdrawal:
Users may withdraw consent to the collection and use of personal information at any time. Personal information is destroyed without delay upon membership withdrawal.
Protection of Rights of Children Under 14:
The Company does not collect personal information from children under 14 years of age without the consent of a legal guardian.
7. Measures to Ensure Safety of Personal Information
The Company takes the following measures to safely protect users' personal information.
- Technical Measures: Encrypted communication, access control, security system operation
- Administrative Measures: Minimizing personnel handling personal information, establishing internal management plans and regular training
- Physical Measures: Data center access control and facility security
8. Use of Cookies
Purpose of Cookie Use:
- Essential Cookies: Maintaining login status, session identification, CSRF security token, etc.
- Functional Improvement Cookies: Language settings, display settings, event favorites list maintenance
- Analytics and Advertising Cookies: Not currently used (prior consent procedure if introduced in the future)
Cookie Rejection Settings: You can set cookie acceptance/rejection through web browser options.
Affiliate Marketing Cookies:
The Company may provide affiliate links with external e-commerce platforms for the convenience of purchasing event-related products and services. When you click on affiliate links, cookies and click information (device information, click time, etc.) may be transmitted to the respective platforms and used for affiliate commission settlement.
- Information Transmitted: Cookie ID, click time, device type (not personally identifiable)
- Purpose: Affiliate commission settlement and recommendation effectiveness measurement
- How to Reject: Can be blocked in browser cookie settings
※ Affiliate platforms may be added or changed according to the Company's service policy.

11. Changes to Privacy Policy
If there are additions, deletions, or modifications to the content due to changes in laws, policies, or security technology, the Company will notify users of the reason and content of the changes through in-service notices at least 7 days prior to the effective date.
If significant changes occur to users' rights, the Company may notify users at least 30 days in advance and re-collect consent.
